Abstract

Perhaps no other area of criminology offers the rampancy of opportunity for study as does the female offender. Increasingly, it is noted that crime by females is on the rise, not only in the "traditional” crimes usually associated with females, such as sexual offenses (usually prostitution) and theft, but also in more serious crimes such as homicide, robbery, and aggravated assault.
