Abstract

Maslow (1954, 1962) described the self-actualizing person as a person who is more fully functioning and lives a more enriched life than does the average person. The self-actualizing person tends to fulfill to the utmost his potentiality to be fully human and to gain the greatest potential and satisfaction in living. The term self-actualization refers to the process of making actual or real, of implementing or putting into motion, the potential resources of an individual.
