This roundtable will feature a collaborative approach to addressing daily challenges in collection management, including areas such as acquisitions, metadata provisioning, and records management in academic libraries and educational environments. Discussion will include topics such as workflow optimization, maintaining interdepartmental communication, and maintaining controlled vocabularies. Through group discussion and the sharing of alternative perspectives, individuals are encouraged to propose solutions and explore possible outcomes, fostering a culture of innovation and collaborative problem-solving. Participants are invited to learn about challenges and solutions as well as have their questions answered about what work in collections management is like if they are considering joining the technical services branch of a library.
