Abstract
Parental self-efficacy (PSE) and parental discipline practices greatly determine the parent-child relationship and the effects of child anti-social behaviors. This research provides a look into parenting practices within a Southeastern school district implementing a Comprehensive Integrated Three-Tier Model of Support (Ci3T). Data from this research shows that parental self-efficacy does correlate with the level of student support services (IEP, 504 Plan, tiered interventions, and gifted programs) a child is enrolled in. Although this research proves to be significant to this population, future research would benefit from expanding the study population to include parents who are fathers, those with a lower level of education, and school districts in lower-income communities.
